FREEZE coming! Protect Pipes, Plants and Pets

I hope you are enjoying this cool weather!  Tonight and a few more nights this week we are expected to have below freezing temperatures down in to the mid 20′s.  You will want to protect your pipes, plants and pets!  According to Rick with Austin’s Best Plumbing, the best thing to do is turn your exterior faucets on to a pencil size stream.  You do not want to wrap and drip your faucets.  With a light freeze, wrapping or covering is usually OK, but I never take a risk; I turn my on to a pencil size stream and leave them uncovered.  Bring in light potted plants and cover those that are too heavy to move.  If it is too cold outside for you, it is too cold outside for Fido!
